GlobalX has made managing large-scale projects easier with the launch of Matter Centre Projects.

The new service helps law firms and property developers efficiently manage the sale process of multi-lot developments and large-scale infrastructure projects. It condenses the sale process to a single workflow, enabling professionals to more efficiently process, communicate, and oversee the many elements needed for such transactions.

GlobalX said that Matter Centre Projects already has more than 150 off-the-plan projects on the platform. The largest project is a 2,500-lot development. CEO Peter Maloney said that the company takes pride in its agility, part of which is listening to customer needs and providing services that solve those needs.

“Time and time again, lawyers and property professionals were telling us that there had to be a better way to handle multi-lot transactions and major projects, and that’s what drove our decision to develop this technology. The system manages every step of the process from electronic contract creation, to digital signing and electronic financial settlement,” he said.

“This one-of-a-kind technology provides the means for a seamless transaction, saving Australian lawyers and property developers time and money. We’ve created Matter Centre Projects as a part of our award-winning conveyancing software Matter Centre and are proud to be connecting legal and property development teams with intuitive new-age technology workflow,” he said.

Dion Cusack, president of the Australasian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA) and K&L Gates corporate services manager, said that the launch of the new technology will improve efficiency and productivity in law firms in Australia.

“We’ve found that one of the key areas of frustration within the industry is the backwards and forwards process between lawyers and developers that’s necessary in finalising a settlement,” Cusack said. “Especially in the case of multi-lot transactions, there can be a lot of time and communication required to coordinate everyone’s roles and responsibilities.”

Matter Centre Projects creates a streamlined, transparent experience for all parties involved, and will therefore have a significant impact on the speed at which these transactions can be completed,” he said.
