Eversheds Sutherland launches end-to-end legal tech experience
A new contentious legal project management and technology team has been launched by Eversheds Sutherland.

Operating under the name Propel, the team will provide clients with an end-to-end legal and technology experience. It was formed by  the firms established litigation technology team and the newly formed legal project management team.

Propel is led by partners Nick Rundle and Sarah Jones in the UK and is a team of 10 but will expand over the coming months.

The team will work alongside Paul Worth, Co-Head of Global Litigation, who believes it will transform the way that clients engage with the firm on complex matters.

“We found clients were looking for more streamlined ways of conducting disputes, had differing demands of our litigation technology, and all had unique legal reporting requirements,” he said. “Our solution was to bring our technology and project management teams together to ensure clients have ready access to our best people and ensure their end-to-end experience is as streamlined as possible.”

Osborne Clarke relationship firm expands in India
International firm Osborne Clarke has an extended reach in India following the opening of a new office by its relationship firm BTG Legal.

The Delhi office builds on BTG’s existing Mumbai and Bangalore locations; and on the relationship between the two firms, now it its fifth year.

However, there the history goes back even further.

“Our relationship with BTG Legal goes back a long way to when Prashant [Mara, managing partner] was part of the Osborne Clarke Team in Germany and then the UK, and it continues to grow. Prashant and the team provide a seamless high-quality service to our clients both in India and abroad.”

The BTG team in Delhi is led by two partners: corporate lawyer and digital business specialist Vikram Jeet Singh; and litigation and arbitration expert Sidhartha Barua.

Osborne Clarke also has relationships with firms in Shanghai and Singapore as well as an Osborne Clarke office in Hong Kong.

Dentons offers emotional support to lawyers in pilot scheme
Lawyers in eight offices in the western US will have access to a new pilot scheme being run by Dentons.

They will be offered the Ginger Emotional Support program, an on-demand behavioural health benefit which helps partners and employees manage and maintain behavioural health.

Using an app, users can be paired with a care team comprised of coaches, therapists and psychiatrists who customize support tailored to the needs of each individual. Face-to-face or video support are available when necessary.

“As part of the Firm’s commitment to the health and well-being of our lawyers, professionals and staff, we are excited to pilot Ginger,” said US HR Director Jill Maganza-Ruiz. “We recognize the importance for our partners and employees to have access to these important resources, and expanding their options with the roll-out of Ginger reflects a culture that champions emotional well-being.”
