AMP picks new general counsel, group company secretary

AMP has brought in a senior lawyer in a revamp of its legal and company secretary roles.

Marissa Bendyk has been named as general counsel, corporate and governance, as well as group company secretary. She moved from resources infrastructure giant APA Group, where she was the head corporate counsel and deputy company secretary.

Bendyk has extensive experience in corporate governance, M&A, and corporate and commercial law. Before APA Group, she was a long-time senior associate at Piper Alderman and then King & Wood Mallesons.

In her new role, she reports to David Cullen, the company’s group general counsel. With the appointment, Cullen has ceased to hold the company secretary role at AMP.
