Innovative Firms 2020

lawlab, a conveyancing service established in 1899, has digitally transformed its legal services for a smoother, current, more flexible process, without compromising essential legal requirements and values.

Central to lawlab’s approach is its use of Rundl, a highly secure platform that provides clients with a full-service experience without the risk, inconvenience, and expense of attending a lawyer’s office. The platform enables clients to easily communicate and upload and download documents and information, has a recordkeeping function, and provides a clear outline of where the transaction is up to and what items are outstanding.

lawlab also embraces innovation through its website. The lawlab website has a quotation feature where potential clients put in their matter and jurisdiction and get an estimate of legal fees and costs. Potential clients wishing to proceed can send an automatic request through to Rundl, via the same website, to open a file. Referral partners can also order new Rundl services directly through the Rundl platform.

lawlab, in partnership with MaxID, also developed RundlID that allows for verification of identity to be done quickly and easily with clients by just using their smartphone.
