Marnie is an accomplished general counsel who has worked across a variety of sectors including FMCG, construction, forestry, healthcare and most recently, for the Coroners Court of Victoria. She is well recognised internationally as a strategist and speaker, an innovative legal leader, and as an advocate for the evidence-based, positive effects of kindness in the execution of organisational transformative change. In her current role as Director, Legal Services of the Coroners Court of Victoria, she leads a high performing team of 28 lawyers in the design and execution of an innovative strategy that is committed to design thinking methods of high quality service delivery. In addition to her extensive general counsel experience, she demonstrates world class intellectual capabilities. She is a Recognised Doctoral Student of the University of Oxford and a PhD Candidate in Law of Monash University. She holds a mini MBA from Boston University, Fellowships of the Governance Institute of Australia and the International Intellectual Property Strategists’ Association, and is a Non-Executive Director of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine.
