Bird & Bird LLP prides itself on creating a positive workplace as a result of its strong set of employee retention and growth strategies. The firm places strong emphasis on fair remuneration, and of ensuring that salaries and bonuses are not skewed against a particular gender.

In Sydney, Bird & Bird has, in the past 18 months, established a Diversity and Inclusion Committee which has been very active in a range of different initiatives including: hosting an event for ‘Wear it purple day/Pride Month’ with an external speaker highlighting LGBTIQ+ issues in the legal profession; and running a number of training sessions and workshops for mental health, including an ‘RU OK day’, mindfulness and meditation skills.
