Barry Nilsson promotes six to special counsel

Barry Nilsson has elevated the following six lawyers to special counsel in a recent promotions round:

  • Amelia Beveridge (family, Melbourne)
  • Ashlea Hawkins (insurance, Melbourne)
  • Ebru Campos (insurance, Melbourne)
  • Lee Lenkinski (insurance, Brisbane)
  • Natalee Barr (insurance, Brisbane)
  • Nicole Henkey (insurance, Brisbane)

The firm also welcomed four new senior associates and three associates in the cycle, which saw a total of 13 lawyers stepping into their new roles as of 1 January. Of the 13, 9 are women.

According to board chair Rhett Kennedy, the promotions support the firm’s strategic goals for 2025, which include growing its expertise in insurance and health and family law as well as to nurture internal talent in the wake of its 60th anniversary in the profession.

Senior associate

  • Alana Pointon (family, Brisbane)
  • Gianluca Tripodi (insurance, Sydney)
  • Sam Bowers (insurance, Brisbane)
  • Shakira Forghani (insurance, Brisbane).

Associate

  • Ali Tedder (insurance, Brisbane)
  • Nadia Gualtieri (insurance, Melbourne)
  • Will Harris (insurance, Melbourne).
