Ex-Corrs Chambers Westgarth lawyer Justin Fox has been announced as the new head of Hamilton Locke Melbourne’s corporate team.

“We are delighted to welcome Justin Fox to our Melbourne office and to grow our corporate practice. Justin’s extensive skillset and diverse experience is a great asset to our corporate practice, clients, and the wider firm,” managing partner Nick Humphrey said.

Fox has worked on M&A for more than 25 years. His clients include Foster’s, BP and Singapore Airlines.

He operated extensively in Southeast Asia at the start of his career, and continues to practise globally. He has a wealth of experience in issues involving foreign investment, takeovers, schemes of arrangement and private treaty M&A.

Hamilton Locke also strengthened its Sydney team with the addition of its first tax partner. Seema Sandhu previously worked with Clayton Utz’s taxation team and with KPMG in Hong Kong.

“We are delighted to further expand our offering to clients and build on our existing capabilities with the addition of Seema as the first fax partner in Sydney. Seema’s niche and extensive skillset is a great asset to our firm and clients,” Humphrey said.

Sandhu has worked on M&A, private equity, tax structuring, employee share schemes and general tax advisory matters for more than two decades. She has operated across various industries.
