DLA Piper helps Indian tech company to boost customer service offering with acquisition

DLA Piper has assisted tech and consulting company Tech Mahindra as it acquired all the shares of Philippines-based customer experience company Orchid Cybertech Services Inc.

According to lead partner Dylan Burke, the deal is set to boost Tech Mahindra’s capability in customer service.

“The transaction is symbolic of the rapidly developing technologies and services sectors across the Asia Pacific region. We can expect to see similar cross-border transactions into the future, as the potential of the region is further explored,” Burke said.

Burke was supported on the transaction by fellow corporate partner Joel Cox and solicitor Caera McGill.

Tech Mahindra is an Indian multinational information technology services and consulting business. It is part of the Mahindra Group and is registered in Mumbai.
