McCullough Robertson attracts new partner from top bank

McCullough Robertson has recruited an internationally experienced lawyer from a leading Australian bank.

Wei Lim has joined the independent firm’s partnership, joining the banking and finance team in Brisbane from ANZ Bank, where he was an associate director in the loan structuring and execution team. Prior to ANZ, he was an associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, an associate at MinterEllison in Brisbane, and a senior associate at DLA Piper in Hong Kong.

The added expertise comes as client demand increases, said Kristen Podagiel, McCullough Robertson managing partner.

“Wei is a fantastic addition to our team, bolstering our capacity to meet increasing client demand. Wei brings with him a strong background in corporate and institutional property financing, as well as debt capital market transactions and project finance experience from his time working in Hong Kong,” she said. “Wei’s international private-practice experience and in-house experience at ANZ will ensure that he can provide practical and commercial advice to our clients in a broad range of industries, including real estate, international trade, mining and resources, infrastructure, agribusiness, manufacturing, and tourism.”

McCullough Robertson has appointed seven new partners appointed in the past six months.  These partners include Eva Vicic (real estate), Ben Wood (corporate advisory), Liam Davis (project approvals), Melinda Peters (tax), David Hughes (tax) and Stephen White (insurance and corporate risk).
