Lander & Rogers brings in special counsel

In a boost to the firm’s workplace relations and safety practice, Lander & Rogers has brought in a seasoned lawyer to lead his own team.

Cameron Hannebery has joined the firm as a special counsel and has been tasked to be the dedicated health, safety, and environment lead of the practice. The Melbourne-based senior lawyer joined the firm from Telstra, where he spent nine years as legal counsel.

Before his in-house stint, he worked at legacy Deacons as a senior associate. He provides occupational health and safety, criminal, and regulatory advice to a wide range of clients.

The firm is delighted to have landed a senior lawyer with dedicated experience in health, safety, and environment law, said Daniel Prioetto, Lander & Rogers partner and national practice group leader of the workplace relations and safety practice.

“As well as supporting our existing clients with their safety needs, Cameron will build a strong practice with clients in both the federal and various state jurisdictions,” he said.

The Melbourne appointment comes after the firm picked a new home in the Victorian capital in October.
