Christopher Lovrien previously led the firm’s California region
Jones Day has named Christopher Lovrien as its new partner-in-charge for the Australia region.
Lovrien currently sits on the firm’s partnership and advisory committees, and was partner-in-charge of Jones Day’s California region, which spans five offices, from 2015 to 2019, He also led the Los Angeles office from 2011 to 2014 as partner-in-charge.

A Harvard Law School graduate, Lovrien first commenced with Jones Day in 1997 as a summer associate in its Washington office. He joined the Los Angeles branch in 2003 after a stint as law clerk for Judge Jerome Turner of the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. In 2008, he made partner.
He presently operates from Jones Day’s Los Angeles branch as a trial lawyer in the firm’s business and tort litigation practice. He has tackled high-stakes commercial disputes, class actions, and other mass tort actions.
He has also acted for companies and their boards on ESG-related matters, such as disputes with ESG raters and rankers.
