Highlight: Major orgs put their stamp on Australasian Law Awards categories

Three major organisations have put their stamps on a diverse range of categories at the 2023 Australasian Law Awards.

The Resolution Institute is backing the search for Australian Arbitrator of the Year and Australian Mediator of the Year for another year. This year, defending champion Russell Thirgood is back in the finalists’ circle for the Australian Arbitrator of the Year award;

Meanwhile, Anne-Marie Cade (Divorce Right), Lisanne Iriks (Life Mediation), Nicole Davidson (Nicole Davidson Negotiation) and Shelby Timmins (Divorce Done Differently) are battling it out for Australian Mediator of the Year .

Clayton Utz is also back to sponsor the Australian In-house Team of the Year award, which was won by the NSW Treasury Office of General Counsel last year. This year, the NSW Treasury is once again among the Excellence Awardees, represented by the Office of Energy and Climate Change (OECC) Legal team.

It comes up against the in-house legal teams at Ahpra National Legal Practice, Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Fujitsu Australia (legal and compliance team), Mastercard Australia and Partners in Performance.

Finally, SP Search & Consulting is on board to support the Australian Dealmaker of the Year category again, along with the Law Firm Leader of the Year (500+ Employees) award.

On 18 May, they will get to crown the winners of their respective categories at the awards gala at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.

Australasian Lawyer released the list of Excellence Awardees for the 2023 Australasian Law Awards in March.
