Clyde & Co elevates new partner in Sydney

Clyde & Co has promoted Luke O’Kane as a partner in its Sydney office.

O’Kane, who has been with the firm since 2017, leads a team of seven lawyers the firm's Australia offices. He possesses litigation experience gleaned from work across the country.

He has acted as coverage counsel for insurers in large commercial and regulatory disputes. Moreover, he has managed general and complex personal injury claims (such as involving fatality and catastrophic injuries), general liability, historical sexual abuse, property damage, and professional indemnity claims.

O’Kane has advised major Australian and London-based insurers and reinsurers, brokers, and corporations on complex coverage and defence matters. He is also an expert in handling claims related to defective products and product recalls, and has a particular focus on mass tort litigation.
